I am having one of those days where I just can’t seem to stop eating.
This is somewhat atypical for me, and ordinarily brought on due to fighting off an illness or not having eaten enough the day before.
I am thinking that the latter is the case here; and if it is, I am okay with it…for today.
I give myself a little more leeway on Saturdays.
I don’t like to go all-out crazy, but if there is something I have been thinking about munching on all week long, Saturday is the day that I will allow myself to give in to that temptation.
And if that temptation is a hemp protein brownie and green juice from Juice Generation, then let’s face it, it’s not so bad.
The unfortunate thing was that I ate my special treat on the run. I feel that I benefit from sitting down while eating. If I eat on the go, or with the distraction of work or something else, it is almost as if I haven’t eaten at all. My body craves more.
So, after my trip to Juice Generation, I still came home and made a full lunch. Mostly veggies. Typical.
But now, two hours later, I am eating more veggies (munching on baby carrots all but inspired this post), despite having dinner plans in a little while.
Days like this happen. They just do. The important thing is to not let yourself fly too far off the handle. Reign yourself in with healthy snacks and maybe the not-so-great-for-you splurges will be less desirable.
