Today I have change on my mind.
I find that for me, I am better at adapting to change, rather than choosing to make a change.
Maybe it is because of what life has thrown at me.
The only times I can think of the choice to make a change being easy are those times when I needed to get out of something quickly. Change brought about by chaos, I suppose.
But throw a new factor into my life, and I will adapt. I will evolve.
So, with change on my mind, I thought I would seek out some literary quotes on change for inspiration, and here are some of my favorites:
People underestimate their capacity for change. There is never a right time to do a difficult thing. – John Porter
To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. – Henri Bergson
Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. – Andre Gide
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. – Anatole France
All great changes are preceded by chaos. – Deepak Chopra
The best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing. – Theodore Roosevelt
